The National Weather Service in Birmingham issued another severe weather warning this week. 

Although Troup County will likely be unaffected in Wednesday’s forecast, we all saw what happened on Jan. 12.

So, instead of looking at that forecast and becoming complacent, take steps now to prepare for a drastic shift in the weather pattern. With any luck, the system will change for the better and the preparations will have been for naught. 

However, the system could shift and place its sights on Troup County once again, and we want everyone to be prepared and remain weather aware.

It may sound cliche, but it could be a matter of life or death. 

We were lucky on Jan 12 to have not incurred any injuries or loss of life and when the next storm rolls through, we want that same result.
