The Callaway girls soccer team put a whooping on Kendrick Thursday as they waltzed to a 10-0 win.
Kate McAteer was simply sensational and finished with five goals in the game. The senior is on quite the tear this week and has now scored nine total goals in the last two games. The rest of the goals were spread around with Autumn Brown, Aylin Ulloa, Mary Kate Baswell, Mya Lawton and CC Bledsoe all getting a goal apiece.
Brown has proved to be a real playmaker for the Cavaliers this season and registered four assists on the day. With Keeley McGuffin departing after last year, there was a question mark about who would be the main creative player for the Cavaliers and Brown has certainly filled that role this season.
Bledsoe was able to grab a couple of assists with Baswell and Kadence Leithleither also getting an assist each in the game.
Raine Hunt did not have to make a save in the game and kept her second successive clean sheet in goal.
Callaway is now 3-1 on the season. The Cavaliers will be right back in action on Friday against Central (Phenix City, Ala.) on the road.
