The young Troup girls soccer team is struggling to get going this season as they adjust to some new personnel and a new coach. Tuesday saw the Tigers take a 10-0 defeat to Northside at Callaway Stadium with the home team not able to mount much resistance. 

“It was a hard fought game,” Troup coach Carolyn Harkness said. “We learned a lot about ourselves as a team and continued to work hard and not give up. Northside was a very technical and fast team, so it challenged us to step up and be better.”

Haley Kitchens made some fine saves in goal but still could do little to stop a potent Patriot attack. 

Troup fell to 0-2 on the season. The Tigers will be back in action on Friday away to Brookestone.
