It won’t be long before the new Dunkin’ Donuts on New Franklin Road opens its doors.

Herbert Platts, project superintendent, estimates that the restaurant will be completed in four to six weeks.

“We still have some work to do like getting asphalt down, pouring concrete for the parking lot, getting the inside painted and cleaned up,” Platts said. “We still have a wait on some of our supplies, but we have most of the bigger things we need.”

Platts said they are currently waiting on an ice machine, two cappuccino machines and a soda machine.

“We will need to put some arm rails and maybe some patio furniture. There isn’t a lot to look at, but some might enjoy the option to sit outside,” Platts said.

With the building coming along, Platts said the sign will be the last thing placed before the project is finished.

The donut shop will be located at 217 New Franklin Road in LaGrange, in the old Miami Made Fish and Chicken building.

There are currently two Dunkin locations in LaGrange, one being in Great Wolf Lodge at 150 Tom Hall Parkway, and the other being at 1740 Lafayette Parkway.
