Callaway soccer had both its boys and girls games canceled on senior night due to a shortage of referees. The game could not be played as there were no available refs certified by the GHSA that could make it to Callaway High School. This has become a real problem in the area with teams often only able to have two refs at region games with non-region games being a crapshoot for how many refs show up. Callaway had three refs at every region game a season ago.

As teams and leagues all over face a referee shortage, it has become a problem right here at home. 

Callaway soccer drew in its largest crowd of the season for what was supposed to be a fun evening of soccer and celebration but saw the day cut agonizingly short by unforeseen circumstances.
