The LaGrange Fire Department was dispatched on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 7:43 p.m. to 506 Jefferson Street for the report of a structure fire.

The first arriving fire unit reported heavy smoke showing from the rear of the structure. Fire crews entered the rear of the structure through a side door and quickly extinguished the fire, according to a LFD press release.

Fire damage was confined to attic area of an addition to the home. Other areas of the home sustained some smoke damage and water damage. There were no reported injuries.

Losses to the structure and contents are estimated at $5,800.
