A Troup County School System bus monitor was arrested on Tuesday after an incident was discovered after reviewing bus camera footage, according a press release from the school system.

TCSS said incident involved the bus monitor making inappropriate physical contact with a student. TCSS said there was no report of injury.

The district reported the allegation to law enforcement and The Department of Family and Children Services. TCSS said it is not at liberty to discuss the situation any further as it is a personnel matter and to protect the identity of the student involved.

“As always, the safety and well-being of our students is our first priority,” the school system said in a press release.
