LPD: Man shoots girlfriend, police say shots were fired in direction of bedrooms where children were sleeping

A woman was shot Wednesday during a domestic dispute by her boyfriend, a convicted felon, while two kids were asleep in the home.
Jeffery Paul Moore, a convicted felon, has been charged with aggravated assault (FVA), two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, according to the LaGrange Police Department.
The LPD responded to the 600 block of Miami Street Wednesday morning at approximately 8:27 a.m. They found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to her buttocks and leg. Aid was rendered at the scene by emergency staff, and Riggins was transported to Columbus Medical Center in Columbus.
A 15-year-old male child and a 3-year-old female were sleeping in the home at the time of the residence. LPD said ballistic evidence at the scene determined that the two gunshots were fired directly toward the bedrooms where the children were sleeping.
