Robert Lee Cardwell, III, age 42, of LaGrange, passed away on July 8, 2023. He was born on October 15, 1980, to Robert Lee Cardwell, Jr. and Angie Hubbard Cardwell in LaGrange, Georgia. He was the owner and operator of Cardwell Customs in LaGrange. Lee was a man of many talents and trades. He loved working on cars, he built his own race car at the age of 17. There was no motor that he could not fix. His smile was that of a chester cat as we like to say. 

His personality was like none other, his laugh and smile were contagious. Animals had a special place in Lee’s heart, there were not any animals that he could not interact with. Lee loved his family and the Lord dearly, he was a member of Faith Baptist Church. “Lee-Lee” was loved unconditionally and will forever be missed by many. Love you whole bunches. – “Aubrie and Ha”

Survivors include his wife, Holley Levens Cardwell; daughter, Aubrie Madison Cardwell (Cason Spradlin) brother, Charles Brenton Cardwell; grandparents, Charles Kee; aunts and uncles, Jo Shannon Scott (Roy), Joan Brewer (Mack), Sandra Adcox, Richard Kee (Allison), and Wayne Kee (Kristi); in-laws, Rebecca, and Rodger Levens; brother-in-law, Todd Levens (Amy) and children; many cousins; extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carolyn Kee, Mary and Robert Cardwell, Sr.; great-grandmother, Mary Crenshaw Ruby Cardwell; uncle, Larry Blanks.

The family will have visitation on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Thompson officiating.  Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand, 706-884-5626.
