LaGrange is getting a new barbecue restaurant, this time with a Southern soul food flair.

This Is It! Southern Kitchen & Bar-B-Q is coming to LaGrange, bringing its own blend of southern cuisine, barbecue, seafood and soul food.

The Atlanta-based chain will be taking over the former Ruby Tuesday location on Morgan Street. Renovations have already begun on the exterior of the location.

This is It! Has been serving the Atlanta Metro area since 1983, providing home-style family dining and catering for four decades.

David Gary, Director of Marketing for This It!, confirmed the franchise location is coming to LaGrange. Details are still being worked out for the new location, which isn’t expected to open until at least the first quarter of 2024.

This is It! specializes in authentic southern fried chicken and its award-winning barbecue rib tips.

The new restaurant will bring new life into the former Ruby Tuesday, which has largely remained vacant since closing in early 2018.
