Deborah Lukken Edge passed away peacefully on Aug. 26 in La Jolla, CA. 

Deborah was an accomplished businesswoman, talented artist, animal lover and movie buff. 

Born in Flint, Michigan on May 4, 1953, a birthday she shared with her beloved mother. 

Deborah graduated from LaGrange High School in LaGrange, Georgia and studied psychology at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas and University of Georgia. 

As a young wife and mother, she was an active member of the Junior Service League of LaGrange and was an influential force on many fundraisers for civic causes, while also working as a comptroller for Lukken Chevrolet. 

 A devoted lover of the beach, Deborah and late husband, Ed Edge relocated their family to Panama City Beach, Florida, where she furthered her career as a comptroller in the automotive industry.

Deborah is survived by the greatest joys of her life, Lura Edge Moore (Jim) and Adah Genevieve Edge. 

Deborah was exuberantly anticipating the birth of her first grandchild in Dec. 

She is also survived by her stepmother, Peggy Lukken; her siblings, Jeff Lukken (Cindy), Laura Griffin, Carrie Downey, Peter Lukken (Miriam), Fritz Lukken, Amy Lukken (Catherine), and stepsister, Kim Myers (Richard), as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mollie and Walt Lukken, her husband, Edward West Edge, Jr. and stepbrother, Jeff Hagood.

To the many friends and family who knew and loved her, Deborah will always be remembered by the glow of her promising spirit, wicked sense of humor and infectious smile.  

A celebration of life will be held in Oct.
