Mrs. Reba Nell Huff Dowden, age 88, of Pine Mountain, passed away on Sept. 17, 2023. 

Mrs. Dowden was born on Oct. 13, 1934, in Roopville, Georgia to the late J.T. Huff and Susie Merrell Huff. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dowden, a son, Larry Wayne Dowden, a granddaughter, Christy Smith, sisters, Gloria Jackson and Helen Thompson, and a brother, James Huff. 

Mrs. Dowden, in addition to caring for the needs of her family, worked for over twenty-five years as the Callaway Gardens Gift Shop Manager and was a member of the Rosemont Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Charles Devier (Dena), daughter, Donna Sue Smith (Lee), son, Joseph Alton Dowden (Jodi); brothers, Charlie Huff and Don Huff (Kathy); sisters, Barbara Hyde and Margaret Whitley; grandchildren, Zack, Laura, Mitch, Boots and Leigh, Matt and Jennifer, Josh and Tejay, Gabe and Valerie and Jayde and Jack; seventeen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023, at 11 A.M. at the Rosemont Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Camp officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin, Georgia. 

Family will receive friends on Wednesday at the church beginning at 10 A.M. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the missions fund at Rosemont Baptist Church.
