On Thursday, the LaGrange-Troup Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the new location of Exit Realty in Downtown LaGrange.

The realtor’s office had previously been located on South Davis Road near the LaGrange Mall and has moved to 306 S. Lewis Street in LaGrange.

Owner/Broker Patrick Sims said the move is the result of their combining with First Realty of LaGrange.

Sims said he began his career with First Realty before setting off on his own with Exit Realty.

“Jerry Johnson had First Realty of LaGrange here at this office for 36 years. It’s actually where I started my real estate career. Then four years ago, I decided to open a business, so I bought the Exit Realty franchise and brought that to LaGrange,” Sims said. “Then in the past couple of months, the opportunity came for me to join the First Realty of LaGrange and bring on their team members, and then also relocate our office.”

“This will continue the history of having a real estate office right here in downtown,” Sims said. We look forward to helping out people buy and sell houses in West Georgia and East Alabama for years to come.”

Sims said the realty office specializes in residential real estate but they do some commercial and property management.

The move will allow the company a bigger and better space with more agents, Sims said.

“It’s got a lot more space, more agents and a lot of tools for the agents to use to help sell houses, so we’re excited about it,” Sims said.
