Brown pitches perfect game as Callaway wins 11th straight game

Callaway baseball made it 11 wins in a row on Thursday, hammering McNair for an easy 16-0 region win on the road.
The Cavaliers made sure it was a swift evening in Atlanta, endearing the game by mercy rule after three innings.
Callaway put the hammer down early, scoring 15 runs in the first and tacking on a 16th in the second.
Junior Reeves had a nice day from the plate, going 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Julian Dukes was also 2-for-2 from the plate and drove in a run. Lashun Gates and Cass Fuller each had a hit apiece for Callaway. Bryce Hubbard, Brantin Swanson, Brody Swanson, Jackson Butts, Luke Taylor, Brown and Gates all had RBIs on the evening.
While it was only three innings of work, it was the second perfect game Hunter Brown was a part of this week as he combined with Dukes on Tuesday for a perfect game against McNair at home. This one was all Brown, pitching all three innings and striking out seven of the nine batters he faced.
Callaway’s remarkable 11-game winning streak has the team at 11-2 on the season and 7-0 in region play. The last seven wins have all come by double-digit runs. The Cavaliers will have a tougher test on Friday when they travel to take on Valley which is a rematch of opening day in which Callaway lost a tight affair 1-0 at home.
