Voters assigned to the East Vernon polling location, which has been closed due to a wreck, can now vote a Grace Baptist Church at 3731 West Point Road. The polls will be open until 9 p.m. due to the voting time that was lost at East Vernon.

In an emergency move due to a crashed tractor-trailer truck in front of the East Vernon polling location on Roanoke Road, the polling place is being moved to Grace Baptist Church due to power being knocked out at the original location.

The new polls are currently being set up but are not yet opened. County officials say a judge is expected to order that the new polling location remain open beyond the originally scheduled closure at 7 p.m.
