TCSO says the Bartley Road juvenile shooting was accidental.

Investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office were able to speak with the female victim in the tragic shooting on June 4 that left a 10-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy shot.

As a result of the interview investigators confirmed that the shooting was a tragic accident and there appears to be no criminal intent.

Investigators also determined that after accidentally shooting his younger sister, the 15-year-old shot himself.

Deputies say that at this point the case is considered closed and no further updates are available at this time.
