Troup is set once again to celebrate the Fourth of July with its annual tradition of lighting up the night at Pyne Road Park.
Troup County will have its annual Independence Day fireworks show at Pyne Road Park on Thursday, July 4.
Gates will open at 3 p.m. with an entry cost of $10 per vehicle (cash only). As always, parking is limited, so the park will close once capacity is reached.
Hogansville native country/southern rock band Eley Road is scheduled to perform at the event, taking the stage at 6 p.m. The fireworks show by Southern Sky Fireworks will begin later at sundown.
The event is sponsored by Troup County Parks and Recreation and Auto Gallery Chevrolet GMC.
Vendors with plenty of food and beverages will be on hand to sell food on-site, including Smokin’ Mo’s BBQ. Bring your appetite because there will also be a Smokin Mo’s BBQ sandwich eating competition. Entry into the contest is $10.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and the whole family to view the fireworks show with a spectacular background view of West Point Lake.
Organizers say boats, trailers, pop-up tents and pets are not allowed at the event.
Pyne Road Park is located at 4481 Roanoke Road in LaGrange, Georgia.
