The Troup County School System announced via a press release that an unidentified school system employee was arrested on Wednesday.

The employee was assigned to Long Cane Elementary and Rosemont Elementary was arrested by authorities on undisclosed charges.

No students or staff were impacted, and the alleged incident did not occur on campus or within the Troup County School district, according to school system officials.

“We are cooperating fully with local authorities. As this is a personnel issue, the information we can provide is limited at this time,” said the press release.
