Juanice Jones Still was born on March 25, 1924 Donalsonville, GA to the late Leo Bertram and Lovelace Price Jone. On July 30, 2024 she moved to her new home in heaven.

A reception of friends and memorial music will begin at 1 P.M. on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand. The eulogy will follow at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dick Reese officiating. Private interment will be in the family plot at Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange, GA.

Juanice Still was a first-grade teacher for eighteen years with tours in Tift, Baker Stewart, and Troup counties. She served fifteen years with the State of Georgia Office of Regulatory Services; she was on the committee for developing new State policies for Child Care and Personal Care Homes. In addition, she worked with Troup County School as Troup County Kindergarten Director and for seven years as Head Start Director covering seven counties.

Juanice Still was a faithful volunteer as a Sunday school teacher for many years and a church choir member. She was a charter organizing ambassador of the Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau: also, a volunteer with the Columbus Chamber of Commerce; and a District Secretary of United Methodist Women. She was a founder of the LaGrange La Fayette Society for Performing Arts and a member of the Georgia Association of Young Children and the American Association of University Women. She was an organizing and charter member of the Concerned Citizens Group who brought Teen Challenge first to LaGrange and then to Columbus.

Juanice Still attended Abraham Baldwin College and the University of Georgia where she received a B.S. in Education. She attended Auburn University and received a M.S. in Administration. She also studied voice with Mrs. Morley Petit of the Toronto Conservatory of Music.

Loved ones who were received in heaven before Juanice were her mother and father Leo Bertram and Lovelace Price Jones; two brothers, Braxton Bragg Jones and Wendell Leon Jones; her husband, Henry Sibley Still; two sons, Barry Carl Still and Leo Sibley Still.

Loved ones who remain on Earth are her son, Philip William Still, and dear companion Sandra McCall; her three grandchildren, Olivia Harmony Still, Levi Sibley Still (Brandie) and Lauren Melissa Still Fountain (Jamie); her sister, Lovelace Ann Jones Rucker; her nephew, Zachery Leon Jones of Louisville, KY; her daughter in law, Terri Gail McLain Still Smallwood; great-grandchildren, Madison, Alexandria, Ava, Asa, Kannon, Bishop, and Shamya.
