LAGRANGE, Georgia – On August 13, 2024, at approximately 11:00 pm, Officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to 1513 Lafayette Parkway, Motel 6, in reference to a person who had been shot. Officers located the victim, Marquez Adams, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his body. Adams was transported to an Atlanta area hospital for further treatment. The Criminal Investigations Division responded and began an investigation into the incident. Detectives are working to determine the exact location where the incident took place. At the time this press release was distributed the shooter was unknown.
