Monday, Sep 16 update: Latest on Tropical Depression Gordon from the NHC

On Monday at 10 am, the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory stating that Tropical Depression Gordon is 985 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands, with maximum sustained wind of 35 mph. It’s moving 7 mph to the west.
“A gradual turn toward the west-northwest and northwest at a slower forward speed is expected during the next day or so, followed by a turn toward the north and north-northeast by Wednesday.” meteorologists observed. “Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.”
YESTERDAY (Sunday):
Yesterday, Gordon lost strength and was downgraded from a tropical storm to a tropical depression with sustained winds of 35 miles per hour.
