John Richard Fuller, Sr. of LaGrange, passed away on September 16, 2024.

He was born on July 14, 1944 to the late John Walter Fuller, Jr. and Virginia McMichael Golden in LaGrange, Ga.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Fuller; sister, Charlotte Thran. He was a Lagrange native and spent almost 40 years working at Interface Flooring. He truly loved his time at Interface and the people he worked with.

Richard loved Jesus and gospel music and sang in the choir for many years at First Baptist Church. In his later years, he treasured his grandchildren and got his greatest joy from watching them play sports. He rarely missed a game or practice. He never stopped loving the Atlanta Braves and kept everyone up to speed on their season each year. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his son, John Fuller, Jr. (Laura) of LaGrange, GA; daughter, DeeAnne Fuller, of LaGrange, GA; grandchildren, Dixon Fuller, Crawford Fuller, and Channing Fuller, of LaGrange, GA; sisters, Janice Ashmore and Deb Neighbors; brother, J.R. Neighbors; nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

The family will have visitation on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home beginning at 4:00 p.m., with Pastor Bobby Jones officiating. Following the service, the family will gather for a time of fellowship at the funeral home.
