The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the new LaGrange location of Georgia Bone & Joint with a ribbon cutting Wednesday morning.

The clinic’s main office is in Newman, but they have locations throughout Georgia.

“We see a lot of your patients, and we’re just venturing out and trying to take care of patients a little more on the south side, just making it a little more convenient to them,” Practice Administrator Patty Attaway said. “We want to bring our specialties and orthopedics to Troup County and the surrounding communities.”

Georgia Bone & Joint originated in Newnan, but they have locations in Fayetteville, Covington, Stockbridge, and now here in LaGrange.

Attaway said they get many of their patients from referrals from local hospitals like Wellstar and from primary care offices and internal medicine. A lot of their patients are referred by word of mouth, but they do not have to have a referral to see new patients.

“Only if their insurance requires them to have a referral,”  Attaway said.

Georgia Bone and Joint has been open for a few months now, having first opened in June at their Lafayette Parkway location.

“We came here in June, down to LaGrange, but we have over 40 years, probably close to 50 years of experience in orthopedic surgeons,” Attaway said.

The clinic specializes in orthopedic surgery, but they also take care of most bone and joint issues.

“Everything from spine, back and neck, hand, upper extremities, total joint replacements and foot and ankle surgeries, knees, everything,” Attaway said.

Georgia Bone & Joint is located at 1015 Lafayette Parkway, Suite 210 in LaGrange.
