Storm Road Closures

Aside from a few road closures, Troup County escaped most of the overnight damage from Hurricane Helene.
Per the Troup County Sheriff’s Office, there were no major incidents other than minor street flooding and a few downed trees.
Dallas Mill Road is currently closed at the bridge over Big Springs Creek between Frost School Road and Cook Road. Cook Road is also closed at Big Springs Creek between Frost School Road and Dallas Mill Road.
TCSO says after floodwater recedes, the roadways and drainage structures will be inspected and repaired as needed before they are reopened to traffic.
