TCSS School Bus turned over on Mooty Bridge Road, Three airlifted to local hospitals

A pick-up truck failed to yield at a stop sign on Mooty Bridge Road and Private Street road near the Walmart hitting the side of a TCSS school bus. The collision caused the bus to yaw and rollover.
According to the LaGrange Police Department, the driver of the truck, the bus monitor and one student on the school bus were airlifted to area hospitals. Others involved were transported to the hospital to be checked out, but the extent of injuries is not known at this time.
The bus was transporting nine students from different schools at the time of the accident, according to TCSS
According to a press release from the school district, “Several Troup County School System administrators assisted the students at the scene and were able to notify parents of the accident.”
