The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of Mane Studio Salon with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday afternoon.
The new hair salon in Three Points is owned by veteran stylist Leslie Mayfield. Mayfield has been a salon stylist for 15 years, having previously worked at Shear Perfection in LaGrange.
Mayfield said it’s been a longtime dream to open her own salon. The salon opened at the end of July and is now in full swing. They currently have three stylists including Mayfield and are looking to add another.
“It’s just a dream I’ve had my whole life. I’ve been doing it since I was in high school, cutting friends’ hair, and I love just the art of it. I love designing. I love decorating. I love the art, so I just put my passion in the hair,” Mayfield said.
Beyond hair styling, the salon offers several other services like makeup and spray tanning.
“I specialize in blonding and highlights. I also am a certified I’m certified in micro shading and I’m a certified spray tan specialist and body contouring specialist, and I’m a master cosmetologist,” Mayfield said.
Mayfield said the salon has been a success during the first two months and it’s been a joy to continue to work with her clients.
“It feels great. Finally a dream come true,” she said.
Mane Studio Salon is located at 805-C Hill Street in LaGrange.
