The National Hurricane Center’s 10 am Monday advisory reported that Category 1 Hurricane Leslie is 1120 miles west of the Southernmost Cabo Verde Islands, with maximum sustained wind of 85 mph. It’s moving 13 mph to the northwest.

“Gradual weakening is forecast through the week, and Leslie is expected to weaken to a tropical storm in a day or so.” forecasters noted.
