The Troup County Sheriff’s Office announced a new program on Thursday that allows survivors, victims of crimes, and other concerned citizens to access timely and reliable information about offenders and when they are released from custody.
The free online service is called Vine. The company has partnered with jail facilities across the country, and the Troup County Jail recently went live with it.
To sign up for the service, citizens are asked to use the following link: https://vinelink.vineapps.com/state/GA/ENGLISH.
To use the service, click on the “SEARCH FOR SOMEONE” link and search for the offender/defendant located in Georgia. You will need to enter the first and last name in the tabs and click search.
Once the person locates the correct offender, they will then click on the “Get Notified” tab and select their notification preference. The website has easy-to-follow instructions on how to sign up and receive notifications.
TCSO hopes citizens find this service to be a useful tool.
