Tuesday, Oct 22 update from the National Hurricane Center: Latest on Remnants of Oscar

The remnant system was last addressed in a final advisory by the National Hurricane Center at 1 pm Tuesday. Oscar has downgraded from a tropical storm to a remnant. Remnants of Oscar are 75 miles east-southeast of Long Island, with maximum sustained wind of 35 mph. It’s moving at 12 mph to the northeast.

YESTERDAY (Monday):

Yesterday, Oscar shifted course away from Cuba and targeted Atlantic Ocean.

CHANGES WITH THIS ADVISORY:

The government of the Bahamas has discontinued the Tropical Storm Warning for the Southeastern Bahamas.
