Mr. Jasper William “Bill” Davis passed away on Nov. 16, 2024.

Mr. Davis was born on Dec. 11, 1927 in LaGrange to the late Gaffney Watson Davis and Parrie Lee Green Davis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Aileen Worthy Davis, a grandchild, Sharon Wynn and five siblings.

Bill proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Marines and worked most of his career at West Point Stevens. He was very active in the Masonic Lodge and supported many of their projects.

Survivors include his children, Levern Davis (Vickie), John Timothy “Tim” Davis (Lynn) and Kathy Renee Hester (the late Richard); ten grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Bill was a charter member of Ayres Memorial Church. He was also a member of the Long Cane Masonic Lodge for over 60 years.

He became a Scottish Rite mason (32nd degree Mason) during his tenure with that organization.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024 at 2 P.M. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel with Minister Wayne Hester officiating.

Interment will follow with Military Honors and Masonic Rites at Restlawn Memory Gardens.

Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 P.M.-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
