The illustrious college football career for Callaway alum Keoindre Jones came to a close on Saturday night with Florida State’s 31-11 loss to Florida
The former Cavalier was surrounded by his friends and family as he was celebrated as one of 22 Seminoles on senior night. For Jones, it was a Cavalier reunion with his middle school coach Kerry Woodyard taking part in the senior festivities on the field on Saturday night.
Jones appeared in 10 of 12 games for the Seminoles this season after appearing in 14 games in his first season with Florida State last year. Jones was named to the All-ACC Academic Team in his first season at Florida State as well.
Before transferring to Florida State for his final two seasons, Jones was a member of the Auburn football program where he played in 36 games with 22 starts in four seasons. He appeared in all 12 games in 2022 and started vs. Penn State and Alabama and was the offensive lineman to start every game for the Tigers in 2021.
Jones was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll during his time with Auburn.
Jones entered the transfer portal after the 2022 season and found a home for his final two seasons in college at Florida State, where he helped the team win an ACC Championship in 2023.
At Callaway, Jones was selected for the Under Armour All-American Game following his senior season, earned 2A first-team all-state accolades his senior year and was a three-time MaxPreps All-America selection. Jones started all four years at the high school level under head coach Pete Wiggins.
Jones was a consensus four-star prospect at offensive guard, rated the No. 14 (ESPN), 18 (24/7), 21 (Rivals) recruit in the state of Georgia.
Beyond football, Jones holds college degrees from both Auburn and Florida State.
