Street Closures Planned for 2024 Christmas Parade

The City of LaGrange wants to advise the community of several street closings in anticipation of the annual Christmas parade in downtown LaGrange on Thursday, December 5.
The parade will begin at 6:00 p.m., but the streets along the route will be closed starting at around 5:45 p.m. Parallel parking spots on the 100 blocks of Bull Street & Main Street and several diagonal parking spots will be blocked off from parking all day Thursday, December 5th. Diagonal parking spots on 100 block of Church Street will blocked off all day. The 100 block of West Haralson Street will be blocked off to traffic completely starting at 5:00 p.m. for the Candy Cane Food Truck Lane. This street will open soon after the parade ends.
The 2024 LaGrange Christmas Parade is hosted by the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce and presented by Community Bank & Trust. This year’s theme is “Christmas Vacation” and the grand marshals are Visit LaGrange’s Kathy Tilley and Lynne Holle.
The Mingle with Kringle event will be on Lafayette Square from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., and then the annual Christmas tree lighting will begin at around 5:30 p.m. Grand marshals Tilley and Holle will do the honors of turning the lights on of the big Christmas tree on the Chamber’s promenade. The parade will begin soon after at around 6:00 p.m.
New this year – the Candy Cane Food Truck Lane on the 100 block of West Haralson Street from Ridley Avenue to Church Street (across from City Hall). Ten food trucks will be parked on this street. The 100 block of West Haralson Street will be closed to traffic from 5:00 p.m. until shortly after the parade ends.
