Visit LaGrange celebrated the remarkable contributions of individuals and organizations shaping the local tourism industry during the 2024 Visit LaGrange Tourism Awards. Hosted at the picturesque Oakfuskee Conservation Center, the event honored the innovation, dedication, and excellence that make LaGrange a thriving destination for visitors.
Despite the rainy weather, the atmosphere inside was vibrant, with the venue’s tall glass windows providing stunning views. The ceremony welcomed approximately 60 guests, who were greeted by Carleton Wood, chair of the Visit LaGrange Board of Trustees. Wood opened the event with a quote from former LaGrange resident Fuller E. Callaway, Jr., underscoring the importance of focusing on small details to achieve big successes. Guest speaker Adam Pugh inspired attendees with reflections on service and insights from his work with the late Truett Cathy.
