LaGrange High grad Tristan Smith transfers to Clemson

LaGrange High graduate Tristan Smith (class of ‘22) is making big moves in the college football world. The former Granger entered the portal and has officially transferred to Clemson University.
Smith, a 6-5, 205-pound wide receiver transfer from Southeast Missouri committed to the Tigers Monday.
Smith had a big sophomore season with Southeast Missouri, catching 76 passes, for 934 receiving yards and six touchdowns. It was a true breakout season for Smith, who had less than 300 yards receiving and 16 receptions in his first two seasons of college football combined.
Before joining the Southeast Missouri football program, Smith played two seasons at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. He played 10 games in 2023 with 14 receptions for 140 yards and one touchdown and seven games with two receptions for 91 yards and one touchdown as a freshman in 2022.
Smith was also offered by FAU, Eastern Michigan, Nevada, UTEP and Arkansas State among others after entering the portal.
