LaGrange Police have arrested a suspect in connection to the incident where a 14 year old was shot in teh neck.

On Jan. 7, 2025, around 5:40 p.m. 17-year-old Enan Brooks was taken into custody by LaGrange Police detectives at LaGrange Police Department. Brooks was transported to the Troup County Jail.

On Monday, Jan. 6, at around 5 a.m. police responded to the 500 block of McCall Street in reference a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. Police say an investigation revealed that Enan Brooks discharged a firearm striking the victim in the 14-year-old victim in the neck, resulting in serious injury. Brooks reportedly fled from the scene before officers’ arrival.
