LaGRANGE — THINC College & Career Academy was the only high school in the world invited to attend the Hannover Messe industrial technology trade fair, school officials announced recently.
THINC Principal Chris Williams and mechatronics instructor Joe Sumner were selected by Festo Corporation to attend this world conference, with expenses paid.
Held April 25 to 29 in Hannover, Germany, Hannover Messe has been the world’s most important industrial trade show and largest capital goods exhibition for years. It features five leading international trade fairs under one roof, covering all key technologies and core areas of industry, including research and development, industrial automation, IT, industrial supply, production technologies, services, energy and mobility technologies.
Due to THINC’s focus on industrial technology, Festo Corporation, which is a top exhibitor at Hannover Messe, selected representatives from THINC to attend the trade fair. Festo, headquartered in Hauppauge, New York, is a leading manufacturer of pneumatic and electromechanical systems, components and controls for process and industrial automation operating for more than 40 years.
“We are so honored to be chosen by Festo to attend this event,” said Williams. “This will be a great opportunity for us to explore the latest advancements in industrial technology and bring back innovative ideas and information to our students.”
