Man arrested for murder after shooting in area of Carver Street and Brown Street

A LaGrange man has been arrested for murder and aggravated assault after a man was shot and killed Saturday night.
Christon Ridgeway, of LaGrange, was one of multiple suspects in the shooting, according to the LaGrange Police Department, and was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and murder. The victim in the shooting, Charlie Dudley, was shot in the chest and transported to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
The LPD said in a press release that officers responded to the area of Carver Street and Brown Street Saturday night around 11 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located Dudley at 105 McGregor Street suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.
Officers located two cars at 201 Brown Street that had been hit by bullets and determined that Antonio Harris was driving one of the cars when it was shot. Harris was not injured but appeared to be the target of the shooting, according to the LPD press release. Dudley was not involved in the incident and was struck by one of the rounds fired by the suspects shooting at Harris.
