Police investigating Miller St. robbery

LaGrange police are investigating an incident where a man was allegedly robbed at gunpoint Sunday night.
Police began investigating the incident around 10:19 p.m. on Dec. 11, when officers were called to the area of Miller St. near Leeman St. regarding reports of an armed robbery.
Officers located the victim who said he was walking to work on Miller St. when two unknown men ran at him from behind the railroad bridge that goes over Miller Street.
The victim was then forced to the ground and the suspects stole his wallet from his back pocket. The victim said that when he attempted to stand up, one of the men took out a handgun and struck him in the head with the firearm.
The suspects then fled the scene on foot running toward Dunson St.
The victim sustained a minor injury to his head from the incident.
