Troup bombarded Creekview 12-1 on Friday to earn its second consecutive win by double-digits.
The Tigers put the hammer down early, scoring six runs in the top of the first inning. Ty Medders got the action started when Ty Medders scored on a wild pitch followed by a Reed Morris RBI single. Morris scored on an error with Parker Townsend, Fisher Baltzell, and Garrison Edwards all getting in on the scoring due to misplays by Creekview.
Errors plagued Creekview all night and another error in the second inning saw Morris score his second run of the game.
The Tigers did not slow down from there with Will Keeter scoring on a throw to second base and Morris delivering an RBI double to make it 9–0 Troup.
Creekview got a run back in the bottom of the third inning before Troup extended its lead back to nine when Edwards grounded out to drive in a run.
The Tigers killed the game off in the top of the sixth inning when Baltzell scored on a wild pitch and Medders hit an RBI single.
Morris kept up his sensational start to the season by going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Baltzell also put together a good game, going 2-for-2 with two runs scored and a walk.
Hardnett got the start on the mound for the Tigers and completely limited Creekview during his five innings on the mound, allowing just four hits and no earned runs on six strikeouts. Carson Spears got cleanup duty and pitched the final inning for Troup, not allowing a single hit.
Troup is over .500 (2-1) for the first time this season and is starting to build some momentum with 15 runs in the last two games. The Tigers will play a doubleheader against Seckinger and Kennesaw Mountain on Saturday.
