A woman said three people showed up at her home in the middle of the night and started a fight over $40 owed.
The resident told police about 2:30 a.m. today that she and another woman each owed $20 to one of the alleged assailants, but one resident had made an agreement to pay her the total $40 today after she received her paycheck. She told police the woman and two other women showed up at her home in the 300 block of Ware Street “highly intoxicated” and demanding the money.
The resident said she told the woman it would be paid like agreed and told her to leave, but the woman then tried to punch her and all three then brawled with her. The resident said her door was dented and a window broken during the fight.
The women stopped fighting at one point, went outside and started to talk, but then argued and fought again. The three alleged instigators then left. The resident complained of a “busted lip” and scratches.
Police advised the resident on how to seek warrants against the women.
