The LaGrange boys soccer team was put to the test on Tuesday, traveling down to Auburn and earning a 2-2 tie on the road.
The Grangers scored the opening goal of the game when Jordan Bryant scored his 13th goal of the season on an assist by Davis Knight. LaGrange took that 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
Auburn grabbed the tying goal quickly into the second half and the home team thought they got the winner with 6:42 on the clock but the Grangers had other ideas.
Knight tied the game with just 2:49 left on the clock when he latched on to a pass from Bryant and put it in the back of the net.
Knight leads the team with 14 goals and 10 assists on the season. Bryant is enjoying a breakout season helping lead the forward line as a senior and is second on the team with his 13 goals while also registering four assists, which is tied for second on the team behind Knight.
LaGrange 5-6-1 on the season but remains an all important 3-0 in region play. The Grangers will play Vestavia Hills on Friday.
