Aside from the backyard barbeque variety, there are two local options for fireworks shows in Troup County for the Fourth of July. The county will host its annual fireworks show at Pyne Road Park on Tuesday night. Great Wolf Lodge will also host a free Fourth of July celebration that will conclude with a fireworks show.
As usual, Troup County will host its annual Fourth of July fireworks show at Pyne Road Park.
Gates will open at 3 p.m. with an entry cost of $10 per vehicle (cash only).
Parking will be limited due to the ongoing construction of the Oakfuskee Conservation Center. Event organizers say the park will close once parking capacity is reached.
Country/Southern Rock band Eley Road from Hogansville will return to perform at the event, taking the stage at 6 p.m.
Local vendors will have food and beverages available for purchase inside the park. The fireworks show will begin at sundown.
The event is sponsored by Troup County Parks and Recreation and Jackson Services, who will provide air-conditioned tents for individuals with special needs and those needing to cool down.
Organizers note boats, trailers, pop-up tents and non-service animals will not be allowed in the park for the fireworks show.
Great Wolf will also host a Fourth of July celebration and fireworks show Tuesday night.
The free event will be held at Great Wolf Lodge on Tom Hall Pkwy in LaGrange. The free admission includes a magic show at 6 p.m., BINGO at 7 p.m., balloon animals from 7 to 8 p.m. and a dance party from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
The fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public, but waterpark access is not included.
