LaGrange Police are investigating an aggravated assault where group of gunmen opened fire at two men sitting on a porch.

Police responded to the 100 block of Wright St. Saturday morning around 2:30 a.m. in reference to reports of a subject who had been shot.

Officers arrived and made contact with Bridarius Bell, who was found suffering a single gunshot wound to the leg, and a second victim, D’arcy Harris.

Officers rendered aid at the scene but Bell was ultimately transported to the hospital by AMR for further evaluation.

Police were later able to speak with Harris who stated he and Bell were sitting on the porch when three to four unknown subjects approached them from a wooded area and started firing gunshots towards them.

Harris told police that his friend Bell was shot as they tried to flee into the house.

No injuries were reported to Harris.

This incident is still under active investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
