Fans of Tracy Byrd, Jo Dee Messina and Brian White are in for a treat this Friday. The show was initially announced in February and has since sold out.

Sweetland Amphitheatre General Manager Brent Gibbs said the artists had highly successful careers in the 90s in the 2000s, and all three are wonderful artists in country music.

Messina kicked off her notable career with “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” a single that immediately made her a household name. Following the success of her debut, Messina would get nine number 1 hits and sixteen Top 40 songs.

White is a CMA, ACM, and Grammy award-winning country music artist, producer, and songwriter. Throughout his long career, he has charted 21 singles, six of which went number one.

Byrd became a household name on the Country Music Scene in 1993 when his third single, “Holdin’ Heaven,” was based on his self-titled debut album, charted number one on the Billboard Country Charts. The debut album went on to be certified Gold, selling over of 500,000 copies.

“There is an audience of people who listened to their music in the 90s and in the 2000s, who, of course, wanted to come to the show, but with the success of Cole Swindell remaking Jo Dee Messina’s “Heads Carolina,” it introduced Jo Dee to an entirely new audience of younger people and I think that is what resulted in this being another sell out for us this year,” Gibbs said.

“We’re extremely thankful to our community for supporting the things that we’re trying to bring to them. Nobody gets credit for a sellout other than the people who are buying the tickets and we’re super thankful that people are resonating with the things that we’re offering.”

Gibbs said for those who missed out on tickets there may still be a way to get a ticket

“It’s always good to monitor Sweetland’s social media on the day of the show that’s sold out because some of the comp tickets, if we have extra, are released to the public,” Gibbs said. “The primary way that we would let folks know about any extra tickets that came up would be through our Facebook and Instagram pages.”

Gibbs said Friday is going to be a great night.

“Attendees of the concert are going to find is a great blend of nostalgic hits and new music from artists who continue to be relevant in their genre, which I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s going to be loud, and a great party night,” Gibbs said.
