On Tuesday, the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Pinky’s Burgers and More. According to Leslie Traylor, director of member experience, this was the first ribbon cutting held for a food truck.

The Pinky’s Burgers and More food truck is owned and operated by Lavor Allen. Along with its signature burgers, the food truck sells chicken wings, salads, loaded fries, and wraps, all made fresh to order.

Allen said cooking has always been a passion of his from an early age.

“I’ve been cooking over 20 years in Troup County and have enjoyed all the ups and downs of being a small business owner,” Allen said. “I love what I do, and I always try to put that passion into every dish we serve.”

He said to have his family, friends and loyal customers with him at the food trucks’ grand opening was a blessing.

“It took a lot of hard work to get here, but I am blessed and grateful to see all of this come together,” Allen said. “It feels really good to have positive people with you that believe in your dream and see your value. To have all of this support and good energy really keeps you motivated.”

Allen said being a part of the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce has been game-changing.

“They are very welcoming and do a lot in helping you get your business out in the community. I appreciate them holding the ceremony and welcoming me in. I think joining the chamber will really help the business gain some longevity, and I am excited to see where it goes,” Allen said.

As the business welcomes new and returning faces, Allen said he hopes customers will say his food keeps them coming back for more.

“We always try to put our best forward, and our food is no exception. I hope that our customers see our hard work and passion for what we do and stop by and see us,” Allen said.
