An unidentified man from out of town has been shot in front of Waffle House on Lafayette Parkway.

According to Officer Eric Lohr, shortly before the shooting, the victim was having dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse and after leaving the restaurant, a vehicle pulled up to him on Lafayette Parkway and fired shots into the car where he was struck once in the stomach.

The victim is being airlifted and while Lohr does not currently have a status on him, he was conscious and aware when emergency services arrived on scene.

It is still unclear at this time if there was one or more shooters and what the motives of the shooter(s) were.
