A Troup County School System bus was involved in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Pegasus Parkway and Whitesville Road on Friday morning.

There were no kids on the bus at the time of the accident, which was around 8:23 a.m., according to Irisha Goodman, public relations director with the Troup County School System.

The second vehicle in the accident received extensive damage and the driver was taken to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center for treatment.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating. This post will be updated if further information becomes available.
