Enchanted Nails by Amy held a ribbon-cutting ceremony late Wednesday afternoon, encouraging nail enthusiasts from the Greater South of Atlanta and Troup County communities to visit the shop.

Standing out from traditional salons, Enchanted Nails by Amy is a luxury nail salon that offers clients a personalized experience through private appointments. The salon’s catalog boasts various different styles and patterns of nail designs.

Owner of the nail salon, Amy Walker, had a dream of opening her salon years in advance when she was just beginning the early stages of her career.

“I’ve always dreamt of becoming a nail tech, and it’s something that I decided to do a little bit later on, but I’m glad that I did,” Walker said. “It’s my lifelong dream.”

Walker began her career as an artist, creating intricate designs from an early age. As she began to grow in her artistic identity, Walker eventually decided to pursue nail designing. 

“All my life I’ve been a traditional artist,” Walker said. “I have been predominantly designing nails for the last two or three years now and it makes me happy.”

As a crucial part of her business journey, Walker joined the Troup County Chamber of Commerce, opening various opportunities for her and her business.

“We are thrilled to be able to support Amy’s business along with this grand opening and cutting today,” Director of Member Engagemen at LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce, Leslie Traylor said. “We’re excited that she’s a member of our chamber, of course and we’ll be supporting her growth in the future.”

Along with building her business, Walker also aspires to help young women in the community pursue their dreams as she did hers. In the future, she hopes to enlist a few young women of the community to gain experience within her shop, helping to support fellow artists.

“I want to seek out young girls who have aspirations of becoming a nail technician or who want to pursue cosmetology,” Walker said. “I would love to go down that avenue to help the community grow.”
