Graveside services for Ann Stitt Hester, age 92, of LaGrange, Georgia, were held on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, at Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Cleve Moore officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hester passed away on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at LaGrange Heritage Senior Living in LaGrange, Georgia.
Survivors include her husband, John Morgan Hester of LaGrange, Georgia; one daughter, Patricia McBride (John) of Shelby, NC; two sons, Thomas Hester (Carol) of Frisco, TX, and Gary Hester of LaGrange, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
A Roanoke native, Mrs. Hester was born on May 18, 1931, the daughter of Mabrey and Bertha Green Stitt.
She was a member of East Vernon Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hester was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John M. Hester, Jr.; two sisters, Jimmie Lee Harwell and Dr. Kathleen Stitt; and one brother, Gerald Stitt, Sr.
