LPD helps family in need
A call for a fight in progress on Monday about 5:20 p.m. led two LaGrange Police officers to help a family in a tough financial situation.
A husband and wife were arguing about money problems outside a home in the 600 block of Arthur Street when someone called police.
The pair relocated to their home in the 100 block of Edgewood Avenue where officers Joshua Clower and Kyle Campbell later found them.
While there, the officers noticed the condition of the home and asked the couple if they had any food or supplies for their two children, ages 1 year old and 2 months old, the report stated.
The woman told Campbell and Clower the family did not have a lot of food and she had less than five diapers for each child.
The two men rounded up some food items stocked in their patrol cars and at the LaGrange Police Department for the family.
Officer Campbell also went and purchased diapers for the children.
